Mostafa Omidi is a PhD student in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Systems at George Mason University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering and a Master of Science in Data Analytics Engineering from George Mason University. He brings over a decade of industry experience across software engineering, data analysis, and large-scale federal IT systems.
Mostafa currently works as an IT Specialist (Application Software) and has contributed to multiple government projects involving system testing, data analysis, and application development. His technical expertise includes Python, Java, database systems (SQL and NoSQL), and data-driven solutions.
His research interests lie at the intersection of applied artificial intelligence, data analytics, and information systems, with a focus on leveraging machine learning to detect AI-generated scams. He is also actively involved in teaching, serving as an adjunct instructor, where he emphasizes practical, hands-on learning.
